Climate Ticket<\/p>\n<\/h1>\n

The climate ticket Aachen exists for 14 years now. The idea: People from Aachen who fly often compensate their carbon footprint by donating to “green projects”. Meanwhile, there are numerous projects that do this certified. The idea of a local climate ticket and the support of vegetable gardens and ecological projects in Cape Town has remained.<\/p>\n

In 2020, in connection with the Corona Pandemic, we have realigned the climate ticket. We now work directly with and support many different projects as well as schools.<\/p>\n

The Covid19 lockdown led to extreme food problems among South Africa’s vulnerable population: tens of thousands could no longer earn money as street vendors, employees in caf\u00e9s and restaurants, etc. Many private initiatives set up soup kitchens, many of which still exist and are supported by the gardens we sponsor.<\/p>\n

With the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, countless initiatives have sprung up to establish or revive community gardens. New networks and partnerships emerged.<\/p>\n

Since 2020, we have made numerous contacts with garden initiatives and school gardens that we sponsor and visit annually<\/p>\n

We have funded these gardens from 2020 to 2023<\/p>\n
