The partnership-projects are the heart of the Aachen-Cape Town Partnership. During the last 20 years a big number and a huge variety of projects took place. Here we only show the ongoing projects. We are busy creating an archive, so that, when you are interested, you can read about most of our finished projects there – once it is done.
All our projects follow the principle of sustainable development according to the Agenda 21 and SDGs. The subjects of projects cover different fields. The main SDG touched by our projects are:
- SDG 1: No poverty
- SDG 4: Quality Education
- SDG 11: Sustainable Cities & Communities
- SDG 13: Climate Action
The Aachen-Cape Town Partnership itself of course is a strong illustration of SDG 17.
The project-ideas are developed as well in Aachen (The North) and in Cape Town (The South). Project-partners from Aachen and Cape Town always work equally together. The main component of the work is “learning from each other”.
Most of our projects take place in Cape Town, but some projects are also realised in Aachen.
